I'm trying new sand in the fairway bunkers, at 7th, so if golfers would let me know how they like the sand in these two bunkers that would be great. I am hoping to replace all the sand in all the bunkers, and reshape or even move some of them. I have inherited a few problems, but we are short staffed so the bunkers only get raked once a week if we get time. It would be helpful if golfers could rake their own footprints after playing their shot, like many other clubs.
Thanks for the explanation Josh. It was the greenside bunker at the 8th that I was referring to. Totally agree regarding folk raking after they're out. It's one of the basics, and we've all been annoyed to find our ball nestling in someone else's footprints. Almost as bad as not repairing pitch marks!
Why the builders sand in some bunkers? Makes it very hard to play from if it's a bit wet and inconsistent from one bunker to the next.
