Bridge at 11th tee

We have lifted off the slabs, the angle I have now taken off.
Their was a lot of weight with the slabs on the bridge this is the reason they where taken off, plus it will be a lot easier for trolleys going over now.

Fence at 3rd tee

We are digging in post then they be cemented in & all that's left to do is put the railings up, which we made out of scaffolding planks, as u can see in the pictures, we painted the fence back of the 13th tee looks a lot better.

verti drain

  •  verti drain all greens last week 12mm x 330mm tines down to a depth of 200mm .
  • this is a slow machine but it does a good job puts lots of fractures into the soil & reduce compaction.




 
  • hollow coring all greens straight after the verti drain
  • as you can see their is alot of cores to pick up of the green
  • push core off the green to be pickup
  • once green is cleared change hole brush green then cut ready to be top dress the following week

  • 50mm x 50mm spacing
  •  this week we be top dressing all greens
  • before top dressed we applied a seaweed meal
  • brushed into holes over seeded greens with pure bent grass also brushed in ready  to be top dressed
  • 13th green top dressed
  • brushed & drag mat

VERTICUTTING GREENS

          Verticutting is a process by which the grass plants are sliced vertically to promote lateral movement of bentgrass.  By promoting lateral movement, any weak or thin areas will fill in more quickly than if left alone.  This process is augmented with seed, fertilizer, warm temperatures (without frost), and water.  Our verticutters mount onto one of the greens triplex mowers, so it looks very similar to mowing greens.

Fertiliser on all greens, tees, approaches. rough cut today tomorrow we set up the course for the weekend. rain forecast for tonight. as you can see from the picture new root growth over 6"

thatch away greens again and rolled i will keep this going on a through the summer, we have also got the tee bankings,humps and bumps, round bunkers cut.
i've cut fairways and cut semi rough.
