16th fairway is very wet to help I'm putting in a few drains this will help, there is a lot of thatch & moss that is holding a lot of water, putting in drains, aeration, top dressing fairways will improve the fairway & scarifying in the spring time.

Verti drain, hollow coring, drainage
October has been a busy month we haven't had the best weather this year, but to help drain greens better.
I verti drain greens down to a depth of 275mm x 20mm followed by hollow coring greens down to a depth of 85mm x 12mm which was a lot of hard work picking up all the cores.
I overseed greens with a pure bent mix which I followed up with a topdressing of sand, due to heavy rain I kept the sand dressing light but followed later with another light dressing.
I have verti drain fairways down to 200mm x 20mm, also all tees have been verti drain as well, once i've done all fairways still have a few left, I be topdressing tees with sand.
Due to bad weather I be undertaking drainage work I've cleared the drain up left hand side of 16 but now starting to dig lateral across fairway starting near the green at 5m spacing working up the fairway.
This will help but soil & thatch problem will not help water get to the drains, but with regular aeration & topdressing with sand & sand banding will help water get to the drains in return sand dressing will dilute thatch layer, aeration get air into soil putting fractures into soil & increase soil microbes, better root development,

Verti-drain greens
Verti-Draining Greens we be doing this shortly 1st week of April due to soil temp up for the seed to germinate much quicker.
The greens will be top dress as well
with the verti-drain sub-surface aerator. This machine punches holes in the turf to a depth of up to twelve inches. The action of the machine is designed to relieve compaction and improve the movement of water through the soil profile. Surfaces that are kept drier are much less prone to disease, compaction and general sward deterioration. In the longer term the holes made with the verti-drain will provide the perfect space for the grass roots to grow into. Long grass roots are needed to help the plants withstand periods of drought in summer.

Back of 6th green
I have put in stone to stabilise the banking which was being washed away, I have also straighten the the stream & widen it hopefully this will help.
9th pond
I have slope the sides round the pond which will make it easy to maintain, all that's left to do is rake off the stone, add screen soil & seed, that will be done when the grass starts growing.
Path at 15th
The path at 15th which went to the old 16th tee, I have dug up the hardcore and putting in soil, turning it back into grass.

I have now v the ditch at 4th, now all the ditch is v, all that is left to do is add screen soil and seed. I do this nearer to the growing season starts. I do the same at the ditch in front of the 10th tee.

Trees
I have planted a few trees right hand side of the 3rd, these trees were uplifted from other parts of the course were the plantation are crowed, were as these trees are already at a good height, there are plenty more of these trees so this will be an ongoing program and hopefully they will grow.
I haven't stake the trees just yet but I will do this later, their has been some rabbit damage to the base some of the trees.

Bridge at 11th tee
We have lifted off the slabs, the angle I have now taken off.
Their was a lot of weight with the slabs on the bridge this is the reason they where taken off, plus it will be a lot easier for trolleys going over now.
